Pastor’s Family

” No Weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. ” Isaiah 54:17

On August 29, 1970, Elder Roy Brockington was united in holy matrimony to Sister Beatrice (Campbell) Brockington. Sister Beatrice Brockington is the daughter of BJ and Pauline Campbell. She was born in 1953 and raised by her grandmother, Lula Campbell. In 1965 Sister “Bea” was introduced to Progressive Church by her aunt Louise Campbell. Through her attendance and receiving the Word, she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost in 1969. Sister “Bea” has completed Nursing Aide training through Mullins-Marion Vocational Center and she’s also attended Florence-Darlington Technical College obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education. She’s currently enjoying retirement from Mullins School District II after nearly 30 years of service in a variety of areas.

Sister “Bea” also served on the National Women’s Auxiliary Board and supports her husband in all endeavors of his ministry. She states that it’s not easy being a Pastor’s Wife and there’s a lot of fasting and praying but she continues to be dedicated. She’s always encouraged others and points out to the younger sisters especially, to stay in the Church and let the Lord bless them. (“Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”) Proverbs 31:30

As a result of this union two children were born, Nicholas Dwayne and Christopher Demetrius. They also have three grandchildren.

“Dwayne” born 1971, is the Minister of Music and also works with various departments within the Church. He’s married to Sister Dara (Richardson) Brockington and they’ve been blessed with two children, Kara and Nicholas II.
